Our client, Zukuri Capital, requested a brochure design from us, and there were three challenges included in the brief!
They had already produced a slide deck presentation to demonstrate their service offering and approach. This had worked well for them, but they needed to progress it further into a tactile 20-page brochure designed and printed that could be used in sales meetings and marketing campaigns.
The first challenge was that a design style had already been established, so the brochure design needed to mirror it perfectly, including the same photographic imagery and illustrative elements to ensure consistency of brand and tone.
Secondly, they work with a very niche audience, so whilst the high quality of both the design and the finished printed product was crucial, they required low quantities to be printed, which often presents a challenge to many design and print companies in order to be able to price competitively.
A further challenge was that the entire project, from design to the finished printed product, was required in an extremely short time frame because the client team needed the brochure design within just a few days in time to get on a plane and take them to a sales meeting.
Nick Henderson from Zukuri Capital had worked with our team at Growth by Design before and knew we would be able to react quickly to the demanding brief and challenging timeframes, so he reached out to us to see if we could again achieve the impossible!
We conducted an initial briefing with the client and then worked closely with them to collect all the required assets needed for the design.
Initial designs were created within 24 hours to allow the client time to proofread everything and provide any amendments. The amendments and refinements were all made within a further 24 hours, and we then progressed to the printing stage as a priority turnaround.
We created the print-ready brochure design to perfectly match the look and feel of the PowerPoint presentation, which we were supplied with.
Once reviewed with the client and refined for use, we then printed the brochures in full colour with a heavy-weight cover and silky smooth finish in exactly the quantity they required and were able to do so at a highly competitive price, even though the final quantities were low.
There was no room for error or delay. The deadline for the brochure design was set in stone because they needed to be on a plane within hours of completion, and everyone and everything made it onto the plane!
This was one of the most challenging projects we have worked on due to the premium quality required, with no room for error of any kind due to the timescale. Our team worked quickly and efficiently, communicating throughout with the client and yet again made what for most would have been the impossible… possible!
